Does the memory of your baby fade with time?
Will you forget her? Will you ever stop hurting?
We don't usually post about the gifts we send but we just wanted to share a little something from one of our guests.
Amy was born at 24weeks gestation in 1972 (over 50 yrs ago). Her mother saw a listing for one of our gifts and shared this:
"Amy lived 3 hrs. 50 minutes. Part of me died with her.
Life was HELL and I did not understand why God let this happen .
Fast forward 19 years. I had become a nurse working orthopedics in a large Atlanta hospital. I received a call one day from a supervisor at Visiting Nurse Corporation. She said one of the nurses told her my story. She asked me if I would be interested in working with terminally ill children and their parents.
That began a 30+ year career working with dying children and their parents. It was the most exhausting, mentally draining and challenging part of my career. The first year, I went to 23 funerals.
BUT….After 19 years, I learned why God put Amy here and then took her home.
Because of what I went through with Amy, I had the strength, knowledge and fortitude to help the children and their parents prepare for the upcoming transition. God has reasons….. but EVERYTHING is done in HIS time😇
Never give up…and God bless both of you🙏"
🥲
She went on to say she would be ordering one of our gifts, but she is on a fixed income and cannot currently afford one. How could we not send her a little something? 🤗💞
There are beautiful people in this world, most of them happen to be mothers... and they are made more beautiful by the suffering they endure through motherhood. I know its not Mother's Day... but here's a news flash. EVERY day is "Mother's Day" to a mother... LOVE NEVER FAILS.
Sending Gratitude, Love and Hope
